Dr. Diane Almanza, OD
Dr. Diane Almanza is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She has received various awards including: Dr. Roger Kame Memorial Scholarship for Clinical Excellence, GP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence, and the Dr. John Dean Student Research Award. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association where she serves as a chair on the membership committee. Special intrests include pediatrics and contact lenses. Recently Dr. Almanza has accepted a teaching position at the Southern California College of Optometry. When not working Dr. Almanza enjoys scrap booking, dining out, and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.

Dr. John Larcabal, OD
Dr. John Larcabal is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association where he recently served as President. Dr. Larcabal has been in practice 18 years and teaches at the prestigous Southern California College of Optometry. He has received many awards including Young Optometrist of the Year, as well as the Golden Apple Award from the Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District for his assistance in the visual welfare of the children in our community.

Dr. Lisa R. Matsui, O.D.
Dr. Lisa Matsui is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been in practice for over 15 years and has spent the last 11 years here in the City of Brea. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. She currently serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for the Southern California College of Optometry. Special interests include contact lenses and family practice. Outside of the office, Dr. Matsui enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. When asked what she likes about being an optometrist, she will tell you that, "it's being able to see my patients and their families year after year and knowing that they trust me as their primary eyecare provider

Poonam
Poonam is our office manager. You will have a great time working with Poonam as she styles and fits you into a frame that suits you best! With over six years of experience, Poonam enjoys everything about what she does. After graduating Charter Oak High School in 2000, she went on to Mt. SAC which is where she found her passion for the field of optometry. When Poonam is not at Brea Optometry, she enjoys sitting front row at comedy shows and going to concerts. She loves to have fun and spend time with her family!

Yvonne
Yvonne joined our Brea Optometry team in December of 2007. She has been in the optometry field since 2002. She is an optician, and one of her favorite things to do at our office is to help patients pick out their new glasses. When Yvonne is not at Brea Optometry, she enjoys watching movies with her brother and sisters, hanging out with close friends and watching basketball and spending time with her fiancé, Kevin. “Go Lakers!!!”

Gloria
Gloria has been in the optical field for 19 years. She is a certified optician and has experience in assisting patients to choose eyewear that is best suited for their everyday needs as well as keeping them updated with the latest styles. She is experienced in training patients on how to properly care for contacts. Her youngest patient being her son when he was only six years old. She says she has "the privilege of working with a great team of Doctors and staff in turn making my job a pleasure."
When Gloria is not at the office she is enjoying family time with her husband of 21 years and their 13 year old son. Her favorite pass time is dreaming up new dessert recipes, which she loves to share with her family and friends.

Patty
Patty is a doctor’s assistant. She joined the Brea Optometry team in July of 2006. She has been a proud member of the Brea Community for 20 years. She has three children that have all gone through the Brea Olinda School District. Patty enjoys helping patients will all of the optical needs!

Joe
Joe is a doctor’s assistant. He enjoys pre-testing patients and dispensing new glasses to patients. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
