Dr. Diane Almanza, O.D.
Dr. Diane Almanza is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She has received various awards including: Dr. Roger Kame Memorial Scholarship for Clinical Excellence, GP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence, and the Dr. John Dean Student Research Award. Special interests include pediatrics and contact lenses. Dr. Almanza had a teaching position at the Southern California College of Optometry.
Dr. Almanza has become a pediatric doctor here at Brea Optometry. She sees kids starting at age 6 months! Your kids will be in great hands with her. We have had kids say that coming in for their eye exam is one of their favorite days of the year! When not working Dr. Almanza enjoys yoga, dining out, and spending time with her husband and three beautiful children.
Dr. John Larcabal, O.D.
Dr. John Larcabal is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association where he recently served as President. Dr. Larcabal has been in practice 35years and teaches at the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry.
Dr. Larcabal has received many awards including Young Optometrist of the Year, as well as the Golden Apple Award from the Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District for his assistance in the visual welfare of the children in our community.
Dr. Lisa R. Matsui, O.D.
Dr. Lisa Matsui is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been in practice for over 25 years and has spent the last 19 years here in the City of Brea. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. She currently serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for the Southern California College of Optometry. Special interests include contact lenses and family practice.
Outside of the office, Dr. Matsui enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. When asked what she likes about being an optometrist, she will tell you that, "it's being able to see my patients and their families year after year and knowing that they trust me as their primary eyecare provider
Dr. Yamam Almouradi, O.D.
Dr. Yamam Almouradi is a graduate of Ketchum University-Southern California College of Optometry. She is the author of “The Effect of Contoured Prism Lenses on Chronic Headaches: a Case Study” published in Women in Optometry and Optometry Times. She has received various awards including Dr. John R. Griffin Award of Excellence in Vision Therapy, Special Olympics and Lions Club Certificate of Excellence, Certificate of Recognition for Community Service from California Legislature Assembly, and Certificate of Appreciation from Medical Network Devoted to Service ( MiNDS ).
Special interests include Neuro-Optometric Vision Therapy, Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Sports Vision Therapy, and Special Populations. She is Euclid Lens Certified.
Dr. Almouradi has lectured on various Neuro-optometry topics in California, Turkey, Sweden, Malaysia, to international professional groups in Algeria and France, and in a televised interview on Aljazeera, Qatar. Outside of private practice, Dr. Almouradi is the co-founder and director of Sight & Sketches , a Southern California grassroots optometric and humanitarian relief project aiding underserved populations domestically and abroad.
Yvonne joined our Brea Optometry team in December of 2007. She has been in the optometry field since 2002. She is an optician and can help you with all your Optical questions.
When Yvonne is not at Brea Optometry she is spending time with her husband and two beautiful children she loves Disneyland and all things Disney, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends.
Cynthia has been a part Brea Optometry family since August of 2016. She is a doctor's assistant. Cynthia is one of the first smiling faces you will see when walking into our office. She enjoys helping patients find the perfect frame and making everyone's experience fun.
When she's not at Brea Optometry Cynthia enjoys CrossFit training, hiking and spending time with her friends and family.
Viviana joined the Brea Optometry team in 2016. She has been in the optometry field since 2011. Viviana loves to help each patient find the right pair of glasses for their lifestyle. She has a lot of fun ideas and is full of energy.
When she is not helping patients at work she enjoys running, playing softball and spending time with her family.
Marisa has been a part of the Brea Optometry family since 2019. She has been in the optical field since 2016. Marisa is one of the first friendly faces you will see before sitting down with the Optometrist. She enjoys meeting new patients all the while Pre- testing, preforming eye pressures and relaying patients needs to the Doctor.
When shes not at Brea Optometry she enjoys spending time outdoors, with her friends and dog.
Aly has been apart of the Brea Optometry family since September of 2019 but has been working in the optical field as an optician since 2008.
Aly loves to shop and pick out the perfect pair of eyewear for all her patients. She has the best time making patients feel comfortable and confident in any frame.
When Aly isn’t working She loves to spend her time trying different workouts, teaching yoga, cooking and hanging out with friends.
Kimberly has been a part of the Brea Optometry since 2020. She is a Licensed Optician and has been in in the optical field for 9 years. Kimberly is one of the smiles you will see after the Optometrist. She has a passion for helping our patients and uncovering each patients need. All while making each patients experiencing fun!
When she is not at Brea Optometry, she enjoys exploring new places, playing the guitar, singing a tune, hanging out with family and friends.
